Experiences:

I constantly develop personal networks through my diligent participation in my studies, the workplace and foreign travel.

Through my public relations coursework at Louisiana State University, I have learned the importance of maintaining relationships. In addition, I obtained irreplaceable knowledge to enhance my writing, design, communication and management skills.

Because of my extensive knowledge and abilities, I confidently will accept any challenge and will strive to accomplish it.

Brouillette Law Firm :

As a legal assistant at Brouillette Law Firm, I enhanced my knowledge in legal matters. I believe that by experiencing the atmosphere of a law firm and experiencing the bottom of the totem pole was valuable. I have taken my experiences at the firm and applied them to my law school education.

European Panorama:

The summer of 2012 I joined 35 collegiate students from around the nation on EF Collegebreak's European Panorama trip. We started in Dublin, Ireland and ended in Barcelona, Spain. Throughout the trip, I blogged to commemorate my experiences and share them with family and friends back in the US. I traveled to 10 cities in 8 countries all with different languages, cultures, architecture and experiences. It was a tremendously advantageous experience because it allowed me to gain worldly views of other countries' customs.

SCVNGR

During the Spring 2012 semester, I participated in a service-learning class, where we implemented a mini-campaign with a nonprofit organization. Our professor was given a grant for her classes to utilize SCVNGR, a geolocation app. We chose to utilize the app within The Recreation and Park Commission for the East Baton Rouge Parish, BREC. to entertain users of its

LSU Distinguished Communicator:

During my undergrad, I completed the LSU Distinguished Communicator program to enhance my communication abilities in order to distinguish myself as an intelligent and eager individual. To obtain certification, I participated in three professional workshops, earned a B or higher in at least four C-I courses, reflected on my communication skills and completed a private and public portfolio.

Bateman:

For my final public relations class, I deviated from the normal course, and I competed in the PRSSA Bateman Case Study Competition. It's a prestigious opportunity that only five LSU public relations students were accepted to compete in this nationwide Anti-Bullying Campaign. We implemented this campaign throughout the local community by researching, planning and executing events.

We partnered with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge and The Recreational and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC) to create familiarity, credibility and longevity for our campaign. Both organizations will use the To Be Honest educational program in the future. Boys and Girls Club will use the material in its after-school programs, and BREC will use the program in its summer camps.

During February the To Be Honest campaign educated Baton Rouge middle school students about bullying behaviors, effects and prevention strategies through 20 educational programs reaching more than 1,500 students. Also, the To Be Honest campaign created a community that stands against bullying with social media networks, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Wordpress and by collecting 1,619 pledges. The mayor-president declared the last day of the campaign “Stand Against Bullying Day.”

facilities. The class was broken down into individual firms that included an account liaison, strategy director, writing director, and design director. We applied for our positions, and I became the account liaison.  We had a truly successful mini-campaign with guerrilla marketing and social media.  This service-learning course allowed me to gain real experience in the public relations field. I acquired extensive skills in time-management, leadership and volunteering.
